距今三百年前，日本有鐵眼和尚，為宣揚佛法，發願籌募經費，翻刻大藏經。初時募款信眾不能諒解，由於堅信能成，歷經波折，終究如願，將經文刻成，廣為流傳。
此四字朱文印，傳承吳派法脈。布局略參石鼓文及封泥等，古樸淳厚的風貌，斑駁的白文如揮灑的墨韻，篆字有骨力，神采奕奕。此印刀法不拘一格，富有變化，古意盎然。
河井荃廬幼名德松，名得、仙郎，號木僊、荃廬，別號蟫巢、九節丈人、知幻道人。日本明治（1868～1912）至昭和（1926～1989）時代前期篆刻家，京都人。遠赴中國師事吳昌碩，學習書畫、篆刻，於明治三十三年（1900）入西泠印社，成為第一位日本社員。
