七言詩 釋慧明

為慧明法師所作詩偈，敘述眼前所見景況與思致所及的種種想法、悟境。除此之外，句中多見對事物景色的感知與描繪，約可略見其胸懷，不乏觀世體物之心。詩作分裱成四條幅，每幅高82公分，寬24.5公分。
觀其書法，筆畫直率，鉤挑快速而不掩鋒芒，固有禪家直截之風，但其架構與提按使轉，仍相當程度地遵循二王（王羲之、王獻之）以來的儒雅風致。其行間章法空疏，整幅便在筆畫直截來往中透出婉約，正與文字內容的意致類同，是件可細細品味文字內容與書風之作。
慧明俗姓溫，九歲出家，十九歲受具足戒。其後於滬、杭之間參學，三十二歲於普陀山法雨寺開講《妙法蓮華經》。師善於說法，不滯文句，法緣甚盛，深獲時賢尊仰。曾任杭州靈隱寺住持，能詩畫，亦工詩偈，門人輯《慧明法師開示錄》傳世。
