木懸守
日本
懸守即守袋、守囊、守札，將佛、菩薩、諸天等尊像，或經卷、曼荼羅等，置入囊袋內，懸掛於頸間或腰部，隨身攜帶以護身。日本平安時代（794～1185）中期女性或孩童外出之際，或至寺院參拜時，盛行於胸前懸掛懸守，具裝飾兼護身的用途。大阪四天王寺傳存七件平安時代懸守作品，稀有珍貴。一九五二年指定為日本國寶。
七件懸守之紋樣設計、形狀、大小均有不同，先以輕盈的檜木胎成型，外包裹華麗的錦緞，再鑲嵌細緻金銀透雕紋樣；或於木胎上墨書梵字，作為怖魔護身用。形狀有橢圓形、圓角箱形及側面呈五瓣花形等。錦緞上的圖樣有鶴啄松枝紋、櫻花折枝紋與花菱七寶繫紋等。技法繁複精巧，紋樣纖細，為平安時代之工藝特色。
