東大寺地藏菩薩像 快慶

位於公慶堂。該像右足榫頭刻有「巧匠法橋快慶」字樣，但無紀年銘文，推測約雕造於鎌倉建仁三年至承元四年（1203～1210）之間。一九○六年指定為日本重要文化財。
菩薩右手原握錫杖已失，左手托寶珠，為地藏菩薩像常見的通例。法相圓滿，額頭中央有一白毫，眉目修長，眼瞼微開，凝視遠方，目光深邃，嘴角內收，耳垂鏤空。體軀豐潤，胸前佩戴飾物，著袈裟，袖口寬大，襞褶以自然的線、面構成，優美勻整，如波紋般地漾開，後世稱為快慶樣。表面色彩保存完好，為不可多得之佳作。
