Shinjyuan: Ikkyu Sojun

一休和尚像

日本

此肖像推測係一休宗純圓寂十年後所雕造,約於十五世紀下半葉日本京都真珠庵創建時期,現為日本重要文化財。一休,法名宗純,日本臨濟宗禪僧,不拘威儀,其奇異行徑和趣聞,婦孺皆曉,致力改革當時的禪風,使趨向大眾化,並復興京都大德寺,功不可沒。
 該像由多材檜木接合而成,眼瞳鑲嵌玉石,外表敷彩。內著僧祇支,外披袈裟,袈裟左上方有垂吊環扣,衣服上並飾有細小花紋,裳裾垂覆座前,雙手握拳置於膝上,端坐於大曲彔上。面相方正,臉龐消瘦,額頭深刻皺紋,高顴骨,眼瞼半開,鼻翼寬大,口唇緊閉,具道貌岸然的老僧之相。頭髮、眉、髭鬚皆嵌入獸毛,其技法特殊,刻劃逼真,寫實地表現一休的性格。
