印度中央邦阿拉哈巴德瑟德納縣巴爾胡特遺址出土
印度中央邦阿拉哈巴德瑟德納縣（Satna, Allahabad, Madhya Pradesh）巴爾胡特遺址（Bharhut）出土。原為佛塔圍欄柱石上的裝飾浮雕，圓形外緣的銘文註明作品主題為供養象徵過去佛的菩提樹。七佛成道，坐樹各有不同，毗婆尸佛是波波羅樹，毗舍浮佛是娑羅樹，拘留孫佛是尸利沙樹，拘那含牟尼佛是烏暫婆羅樹，迦葉佛是尼拘律樹。在沒有佛像出現以前，佛陀在菩提樹下證悟，故以菩提樹作為佛陀的象徵。
圓形浮雕上方的菩提樹枝葉各異，樹梢間掛上數條花環以示莊嚴。其下為一個以鮮花裝飾的台座，兩側的男女供養者或手持花環，或合掌跪拜，男供養像頭上新月形的敷巾冠飾，是巽伽王朝（約187～75 BCE）貴族頭飾典型特徵。
