印度中央邦阿拉哈巴德瑟德納縣巴爾胡特遺址出土
印度中央邦阿拉哈巴德瑟德納縣（Satna, Allahabad, Madhya Pradesh）巴爾胡特遺址（Bharhut）出土。原為佛塔圍欄石柱的裝飾浮雕，表現佛陀化象入胎的故事。悉達多太子未出生之前，其母摩耶夫人有一晚夢見一頭神象進入其子宮，因此而知受孕。
摩耶夫人橫臥於圖中央，以右臂當枕呈睡眠狀，其腳後有一油燈燃點高照，顯示故事場景正值夜晚時分。臥牀下方的兩位侍女，背向坐在圓墊上，身體傾斜，似乎處於半睡眠狀態。左邊侍女手持拂子，臥牀左上方第三位侍女，雙手合掌，表情恭敬。
浮雕的最上方，雕刻神象逐步地靠近摩耶夫人。神象頭部裝飾著許多珠寶瓔珞，卷鼻屈腿，從天界而降，表示入胎。
