位於東大殿北梢間。文殊菩薩頭戴華麗的化佛寶冠，面容方圓，眉如彎月，眉間有白毫相，凝眸下視，鼻梁挺直。雙耳佩環，長髮披肩。衣飾特殊，飾如意頭紋、雲頭紋及螺旋紋，兩袖翻卷作火焰形。手持雲頭如意，右足盤坐於獅背上，左足下垂踩蓮花。該像與文殊殿的文殊菩薩服飾及造型相類。
文殊菩薩坐騎獅子四足踏蓮，雙目圓睜，張口作怒吼狀，神態威猛。左側獅奴皮膚黝黑，胡人相貌，身體向前微傾，右手牽獅，左手握拳。獅右側立一童子，側身合掌禮拜，應為善財童子。文殊體量大，沉靜端嚴，獅奴身軀小，與獅子均動態十足，形象生動傳神。
