傳韓國慶尚南道宜寧郡嘉禮面甲乙里菩提寺遺址出土。一九七五年指定為韓國寶物第731號。
該像肉髻幾乎成正三角形，整體看來頭部略高大。圓潤的臉龐五官刻劃鮮明。外披袈裟，內著僧祇支，胸前結帶，衣紋從腹部至腳下皆呈現「U」形曲線，隨著身體曲線流洩而下。雙手雖受到損毀，但仍可得知手施無畏印、與願印。背光已失。
台座底層八面透刻壼門，上為高足台。台座基本形態雖然和統一新羅時期（668～935）金銅佛像類似，然未刻仰覆蓮，而以極為簡單的線條表現蓮花，推測應為九世紀製作。
