金剛寺觀音菩薩像 釋妙禪

位於臺灣新竹縣北埔鄉金剛寺。應塑於該寺初建時的一九二二年或重建的一九五三年。
觀音呈坐姿，髮髻高聳，頭披風帽，細眉長眼，五官端正圓滿，頭微俯，雙肩微側，胸前瓔珞以紅藍寶石嵌之。在寬鬆袍服覆蓋之下，觀音一手持經卷，一手倚在岩石座上，其雙足下垂露足趾，有金色蓮花托之。
此種姿勢的觀音像，可遠溯於宋（960～1279）元（1271～1368）時期的水月觀音坐姿，明（1368～1644）清（1644～1911）時期逐漸從半跏演變成雙足下垂。此像下垂的雙足呈現出飄逸自在的神態。
