此像為十六至十七世紀的作品，尊像、岩石、樹與淨瓶均個別鑄成，再接合而成。觀音臉形方圓，眉彎嘴笑，面容親切慈祥。耳戴大耳璫，胸前瓔珞作三垂飾，是明代（1368～1644）常見簡化的樣式。上身平直，腰部緊縮，坐姿挺直，也是明代造像的特色。帔帛與裙飾折枝花卉，腰間背面刻蓮花水池圖，線條流暢，構圖生動，猶如繪畫，使造像整體在親切中不失威儀。
菩薩頂戴化佛寶冠，坐於岩石之上，姿態自在悠閑，係受到《大方廣佛華嚴經》補陀洛迦山觀音圖像的啟迪。左側置淨瓶，其下側岩石上留二孔，原物已失。菩薩右側一鸚鵡，受到明代民間文學《鶯哥孝義傳》流傳的影響，代表孝養的鸚鵡，隨著觀音到南海修行。佛教信仰發展到了明代，加入更多民間色彩，同時表現在造像的組合內容上。
