佛結跏趺坐，作禪定印，坐於獅子座上。肉髻寬大，臉形長圓，眼瞼凸出，鼻高挺，接近胡人的面相。頭髮輪廓保留刀痕，衣褶線銳利，是五世紀上半葉常見的特徵。著通肩袈裟，袈裟繞於左肩後面，胸前衣褶作「U」形平行排列，延續至座上。方形台座上的蓮花採俯視角度，獅子為正面坐姿，張口露齒，造型富拙趣。尊像與台座一體鑄成，佛背面肩部及台座有圓孔形插榫，可能為固定背光用。
不論是坐佛或台座的風格，均和美國舊金山亞洲藝術博物館藏，後趙建武四年（338）的佛坐像十分類似。這類造像流行於四世紀下半葉，並延續至五世紀上半葉，此件為典型風格。
