該像以黃銅為材，眼嵌銀，嘴嵌紅銅。像與台座一體鑄成，額際呈片狀的髮飾、頭上的冠飾，和手上所持長生葉、水瓶，為分開鑄造後再連接。背部肩高部位附一柄，可能原帶有背光。台座下層為覆蓮，上層方座，四面鏤空，座鋪菱格紋毯，垂飾部分亦鏤空，正面二立獅，是八至九世紀巴基斯坦斯瓦特（Swat）地區常見的樣式。
菩薩頭戴冠，冠中央一塔形，手持長生葉與水瓶，為彌勒菩薩的象徵。髮梳扇形高髻，髮辮卷而長，冠帶外張。臉形較橢圓，眼睛鼓起直視，嘴與鼻接近，略帶微笑。坐姿挺直，肩寬，腰細，結跏趺坐，裙薄而貼身，衣褶線平行而密但趨於淺而平，對身體肌肉質感的表現較少，趨向概念化。此造像手臂與身體間透空的處理，使輪廓造型更富於變化。
