生於一八三一年，卒於一九一八年。書畫僧。福建福州人。曾遍訪名山，後遊歷至台灣，寓居新竹。工書畫，尤擅長水墨蔬果，作品意趣蕭閒，氣韻清遠。傳世作品白菜圖，藏臺灣臺中臺灣美術館；白菜有寓意清白、清淡、恬淡的涵意，是禪僧畫師經常表現的畫題。
