Hoeyang: Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva

朝鮮江原道淮陽郡長淵里出土
朝鮮江原道淮陽郡長淵里出土。此像被認為是高麗（918～1392）後期受藏傳佛教的影響所製，為典型風格的遺例。高麗於一二三一年以後，多次受蒙古侵略，曾一度遷都，後於一二七○年被降服，高麗王室因而接受藏傳佛教。此像出土地近於金剛山，而金剛山乃中國元朝（1271～1368）皇室所珍視的靈山，依其信仰，此像可能是當時攜入的。
此像趺坐於蓮座上，頭戴寶冠，寶冠上有一化佛。臉部方圓，抿嘴微笑，佩大耳璫，身披帔巾，並戴臂釧、腕釧、瓔珞等飾物。手指部分皆有損毀。其面相及體態特徵，顯屬外來樣式。
