韓國
韓國高麗時期（918～1392）供具。據中國宋代（960～1279）徐兢著《宣和奉使高麗圖經》，燭台又稱光明台。以燈燭比喻佛法如燈火之照明破暗，誠如《大般若波羅蜜多經》卷四○六載：「故佛所言如燈傳照。」
燭台底座為獸面三足，雙層台面。下層飾有似蓮花三朵；上層立有雙獅，前足捧燈柱，後足立於凸起台面上，獅頭朝外。燈柱底部線刻仰覆蓮，中間為一球形裝飾，頂上置圓盤燈盞，用以安放燈油，其周緣刻一圈弦紋。
