「如來百三傳弟子」應是如來傳法與弟子之謂。
此印文以白文刻成，共有七字，分二行排列，左三右四，擬似漢印風格，但又不是全然像，單看字體的結構並不明顯，但仔細觀察運刀法，則很明顯的看出浙派特徵。
說到浙派刀法，最具影響力的就是「切刀法」，在刊刻時每一字的線條，都由多次提按起落的切刀來完成，增強了起伏頓挫的節奏，使筆畫富流動感。這件作品風格所呈現的，是很典型的浙派風格。
劉懋功字卓人，號竹湑。清代（1644～1911）畫家，江蘇蘇州人。劉運銓之子，繼承家學，精於山水，好篆刻，尤工畫，為時所重。
