如來百三傳弟子 劉懋功

「如來百三傳弟子」應是如來傳法與弟子之謂。
 此印文以白文刻成,共有七字,分二行排列,左三右四,擬似漢印風格,但又不是全然像,單看字體的結構並不明顯,但仔細觀察運刀法,則很明顯的看出浙派特徵。
 說到浙派刀法,最具影響力的就是「切刀法」,在刊刻時每一字的線條,都由多次提按起落的切刀來完成,增強了起伏頓挫的節奏,使筆畫富流動感。這件作品風格所呈現的,是很典型的浙派風格。
 劉懋功字卓人,號竹湑。清代(1644~1911)畫家,江蘇蘇州人。劉運銓之子,繼承家學,精於山水,好篆刻,尤工畫,為時所重。
