與長樂寺一翁偈語 無學祖元

此原為卷軸，後改裝成掛軸，共四幅，每幅高約36.4公分，寬86.3公分。該卷是無學祖元書贈日本常樂寺住持一翁院豪，文中援引香嚴擊竹而開悟的典故，進而肯定一翁能承繼禪法正道之意。一翁曾入宋（960～1279）求法，與無學祖元同在無準師範座下參學，闊別多年相見，一翁求其垂示，遂作此卷。一九五一年指定為日本國寶。
無學祖元書學張即之，此作多見結字方正者，即受張即之影響所致。用筆極為清淡，圓筆則增添了樸拙的趣味。其撇捺又自然直送，展現了舉重若輕的書法風貌，是意蘊內含、耐人尋味之作。
無學祖元為南宋（1127～1279）臨濟宗楊岐派僧，日本禪宗佛光派之祖。祥興二年（1279）應北條時宗之邀赴日，初住鎌倉建長寺，後時宗於鎌倉創圓覺寺，諡號「佛光禪師」。
