Lotus Sutra Samadhi of Master Zhiyi

天台智者大師悟法華三昧 劉墉

此軸內容為隋代（581～618）智者大師入光州大蘇山，參謁慧思禪師，行法華三昧，誦《妙法蓮華經》至〈藥王品〉：「是真精進，是名真法供養如來」時，豁然開悟，看見自己與師慧思共處靈鷲山聽佛說法之事蹟。劉墉即書此段典故而成。
此書墨濃而不滯處，正是書家使筆控墨能事之展現；再加上結字平正且用筆較為謹直，使線質有醇厚之鋒勢，而無肥軟之引帶，更是此軸之佳勝處。
劉墉字崇如，號石菴。清代（1644～1911）書法家。山東諸城人。學問淵博，擅書法，行書用墨厚重，渾厚雄勁，因官至宰相，在書史中有濃墨宰相之稱。
