此印為多字印，印文八字分三行，中間安二字，左右各排三字，字與字間均有明顯間隔，字雖多卻不會顯得擁擠。中鋒用刀，線條細勁有力。印文結構方正，曲折處多以圓轉方式處理，使印面流暢生動。
沈世字卜周，又字瘦生。生卒年不詳。據江啟淑《續印人傳》卷二載，知亡於三十七歲。沈世落拓不羈，無塵俗氣，學問廣博，精於篆書、古文，治印皆蒼秀淳樸，善用中鋒鈍刀，所作曾入錄汪啟淑《飛鴻堂印譜》。
