按署款得知此印為大厂居士為屈子沛霖所刻，又敬造釋迦文佛一尊，並題記願文「用以報答四恩，消去百難，并願人我皆知常住真心、性淨明體，記聞世尊毘柰耶中所宣說三無漏學，以敘修行。」可見作者刻此方章乃為報答父母、眾生、國王、三寶等四種恩惠，並發願修學戒、定、慧三無漏學。
此印為一方巨印，所用章法承襲黟山派印風，以漢印為宗，出規入矩，所用印文隱然有封泥、瓦當之意象；但刀法已脫離黟山派窠臼，不見推衝縱橫的疾速，而以沉潛內斂的衝刀刻成，因此全印有莊嚴氣象。
易大厂原名廷熹，字季復，號大厂、守愚等。廣東鶴山人。書畫、篆刻無所不能。篆刻師學黃士陵，吸取漢印、封泥、古璽精華，布局奇肆，刀法雄強。
