Stone Buddha Niche (side colophons)

趙時棡四十七歲時所刻。邊款釋文「錫山秦文錦得北周呂僧哲造像一區，刻此永充供養。庚申十二月壬申朔，為絅孫成此印。叔孺製。」邊款以雙刀陽刻方式，取魏碑字體施以界格，摹擬北魏（386～534）《始平公造像記》，婉秀有加。
印面三字兩行，有邊框，「龕」獨占一行，布局以漢印為依據；用字以平穩繆篆入印，方正典雅。生平用刀為印人所稱道，能以鈷鋼監製刻字刀，鋒利無比，得者寶之。此印乾淨利落的刀法，可印證世人對其評價。印風不出秦漢人窠臼，是一位善擇善守的篆刻家。
趙時棡字獻忱，又字叔孺，號紉萇，晚自署二弩老人。浙江鄞縣（今寧波鄞州）人。垂髫即喜書畫，尤擅畫馬，被喻為神童。精鑑別、書畫。篆刻早年取法浙派，後精研鄧石如、趙之謙，上追秦漢，對圓朱文造詣尤深。
