Letter from Master Shixi to Fang

致房居士尺牘 釋石谿

此幅為石谿致房居士之信札，內容說明兩人相隔之遙，無法前往敘舊，並讚歎房居士之文筆卓越，令其大為歎服。
此幅手札細筆遒勁，用墨潤燥相間。行筆初緩，隨著作品的節奏變化愈寫愈快，直瀉胸臆。在章法上，起筆時，行距較為疏朗，但隨著書寫速度加快，行距亦隨之漸密，有著任運自然的瀟灑書風。尤其寫到最後，有種酣暢淋漓之感。
石谿俗姓劉。法名髡殘，字石谿，號白禿，自稱殘道人、電住道人。明（1368～1644）末清（1644～1911）初四大高僧之一。以詩書畫名世，繪畫師法自然，書法古拙奇奧，氣韻生動。
參考釋文：有心人相去隔越真令人悵恨／又苦腳力衰不能從／尊館問奇字也／兩作高古直逼秦漢有其才又有／其心眼合掌讚歎不及而謝何／可言耳敬服敬服／老先生一章精妙不可言如舍利子／光自勝諸寶奇哉奇哉以此觀／老人之壽真無量矣乞／吾子為我頂禮謝之不盡不盡何時圖／晤令人思之拙作一章並呈塗教勿外／感之／致老大士房居士／之申意殘道者和南
