玄極寺碑

中國

全稱《玄極寺慧據法師造像頌》。今石在河南省輝縣之白鹿山。據羅叔言《金石文字簿錄》所載,此碑有明(1368~1644)拓孤本行世。《玄極寺碑》是邑人為了敬頌慧據法師在玄極寺約三十年間修苦行,敬造石經、佛像之高德而建立。慧據幾不見載於史籍,此碑之內容正可補史載之不足。
 南北朝(386~589)時,常見隸楷交摻之用筆與結字,一方面由於楷書體勢尚未完全確定,另一方面,則以漢朝距此時已久,書寫漢隸則帶有正式莊重的意涵。此碑以隸勢作字,又全力於隸書特徵的書寫周到,更見其鄭重其事之用心。
