傳韓國慶尚北道慶州市附近寺院遺址出土。磚呈長方體，磚面浮雕四尊佛坐像，面目已漫漶，佛身上的雙領下垂式袈裟、僧祇支和蓮座、頭光及身光，仍清晰可辨。四佛之間均以三重塔作間隔，並襯以祥雲、飛鳥等吉祥紋，透過紋飾反映出大唐（618～907）佛教文化之影響。
新羅時期（57 BCE～935）佛教盛行，大興佛寺和墓園，因而使用大量的畫像磚和瓦。近年來於慶州及其附近考古，發掘出為數不少施有蓮花紋、飛天等佛教紋飾的磚瓦，但類似本件的佛像圖紋則屬稀有。
