Hogonji Temple Chinese Gate
寶嚴寺唐門

位於日本滋賀縣長濱市早崎町，近琶琵湖北端竹生島上寶嚴寺。桃山慶長八年（1603），片桐且元奉武將豐臣秀賴之命重建，自京都東山豐國廟的極樂門遺構移築改建，為桃山樣式的典型唐門，即建築物講究豪華壯麗，反映桃山時代（1573～1615）上層社會的品味。寶嚴寺於奈良神龜元年（724）由僧行基所創建，屬真言宗寺。一九五三年指定為日本國寶。
該門面闊一間，為四柱門形式。正面入口加蓋唐博風式屋頂，呈弧形狀，頂鋪檜皮；為防止傾圮，背面加設支柱。正面柱上雕有彩色牡丹和長尾雞，駝峰、門扉等內外均有雕飾。木材全面髹漆，施加彩繪，博風板、月梁等處裝飾精緻金屬物件。該門集工藝、雕刻、繪畫於一體，為當時傑作之一。
