Inscription of Imperial Teacher Dampa (right end section)
帝師膽巴碑 趙孟頫

又稱《膽巴碑》。趙孟頫奉敕撰文並書，時年六十三歲。計一百三十一行，九百二十三字。膽巴為元代（1271～1368）僧人，至元七年（1270）世祖賜號「帝師」，皇慶元年（1312）追諡「大覺普慈廣照無上帝師」。此碑記述膽巴帝師一生行誼，特重於其與元代皇族間的言行互動與皇家恩賜，就此彰明其盛德與度脫世人之行。
趙孟頫為元代書畫家、文學家、詩人。湖州（今浙江湖州）人。以流麗的行草書風名世，而擬李邕筆意書寫碑記之作，亦是其重要書風樣式。早期固能為李邕之沉實筆道，但結字端謹正方，不似李邕結字之奇峭多姿。後書寫《妙嚴寺記》時，筆致便較為舒展多方。
此碑為趙氏晚期作品，無論在書寫和結字上，都更為流動自在，已無早期拘於專謹之態，但仍保留趙字端莊的特色，是趙孟頫代表書作之一。
