此像後部下方有一藏文題款，譯為「向遍知一切的羅桑仁欽倉央嘉措頂禮」，由此可知是六世達賴喇嘛倉央嘉措（tshangs dbyangs rgya mtsho）的金銅造像，為十八世紀作品。他以一部《倉央嘉措情歌》而為後人傳頌，成為最富傳奇色彩的一位達賴喇嘛。
達賴頭戴通人冠，雙眼大而有神，嘴唇塗紅，帶兩道小鬍子，顯得年輕、精力充沛，符合一般所知的抒情詩人身分。身著袈裟，坐於雙層卡墊上，衣褶線條清晰流暢。左手捧寶瓶，右手作說法印並拈長莖花，掌心刻劃圖案。花的形狀和色彩類似青藏高原常見的牡丹或芍藥花，造型獨具一格。
