空行母係密宗無上瑜伽部的特殊本尊之一，屬女性本尊。
此像背光鏤空，內圈是寬網紋，邊緣飾兩道聯珠紋，外面是火焰形狀的鑲邊，形制極為特別。戴寶冠，有耳飾、臂釧、骷髏鬘等裝飾。袒上身，下著草葉短裙，右臂下伸持鉞刀，左臂上舉捧嘎巴拉碗，左腳彎曲，右腳伸展，分別踏屍體上。身前原豎立的卡章嘎杖已佚。下為覆蓮台，上有一圈梵文經咒，較為少見。
此像當是早期的印度空行母金銅造像，也有可能是印度或西藏的匠師在西藏翻鑄。
