Myoshinji Temple: Certificate of Attainment

印可狀 宗峰妙超

關山慧玄為大燈國師宗峰妙超的弟子。此卷為大燈國師授予關山之印可狀，時關山五十歲。卷中大燈國師述關山之悟境，並勉其能益於後人，光大聖教，方不辜負其印可之恩。一九五三年指定為日本國寶。
宗峰妙超書法兼有米芾、黃庭堅書風，其書寫的《看經榜》正是最好的例子。此卷書風較為隨意，故整卷猶如驟雨飛葉，筆意較短而用筆沾卷即起，章法亦無巧變。或書寫之際故意避開過於精善的用筆，書風更顯禪門風氣。
宗峰妙超俗姓紀，名妙超，號宗峰。日本鎌倉（1185～1333）末至南北朝（1336～1392）時代臨濟宗禪僧。播磨（今兵庫）人。創建京都大德寺，禪風嚴峻。
參考釋文：此事卓犖挺拔清虛／乃佛乃祖惟以之而務茍／有其人則於壁立萬仞／處輕輕推將去到不回頭／時節直與個惡辣手腳／全體作用使它到勦絕／白的之地古人得旨之後深／隱堅韜不必長養虛廓／之聖胎專亦有意憂於／後昆者也上人既頓與本來／相應起居幽邃受用確／乎切須綿綿不通風蜜蜜／緊護惜佗時異日將吾／道而光輝便是不孤負老／漢徹困之恩耳元德二／年仲夏上澣宗峰叟／妙超為慧玄藏主書
