龍王護佛像
柬埔寨
此像為柬埔寨吳哥時期（約9～15世紀）吳哥窟風格作品，後世塗上金色和黑色漆料，並加上金箔。造像刻劃佛陀於成道後的最初七週內，龍王在暴風雨中以身軀護佛的題材。佛像以禪坐姿勢呈現，腰部穿著有厚邊的下裳，戴皇冠、耳璫、項鍊、臂環及手鐲，半跏趺坐於由一條七頭龍王身軀盤曲而成的台座上。
龍王護佛造像歷史由來以久，在柬埔寨國王闍耶跋摩七世（Jayavarman VII，1181～約1220在位）推行佛教時期產生了許多的變化，如佛像由無冠飾轉變成戴冠裝飾；而皇冠及珠寶代表佛陀教主的地位，也是十二世紀該國造像的特色。
