Ayutthaya: Bodhi Tree

泰國大城府（Ayutthaya）出土。此石雕菩提樹是在當地的其中一道河渠中被發現，為非常罕見的作品。雕造於十七至十八世紀之間，原來可能配置於佛禪定像後面。整棵樹外形略呈橢圓，中央為樹幹，兩側對稱透雕枝椏和樹葉。片片菩提葉作正面懸垂，大小葉片和前後位置排列有序，與植物生長形態不同，但葉片形狀和表面脈絡的細膩刻劃，卻又趨向寫實，不失為一件上乘之作。
