斯里蘭卡中北省阿努拉德普勒阿拉瓦瓦維拉伽拉‧室利僧伽菩寺出土
一九六八年斯里蘭卡中北省阿努拉德普勒阿拉瓦瓦（Ellawewa, Anuradhapura, North Central Province）維拉伽拉室利僧伽菩寺（Veheragala Sirisangabo Raja Maha Vihara）出土。觀音之名在二世紀時已出現於印度及中國的經典中，但遲至八世紀才見於斯里蘭卡提里亞亞區（Tiriyaya）之銘文，並於各時代冠以不同名號，造型也隨之而異。
此像為實心銅鑄貼金。菩薩戴高冠，上嵌寶石，卷髮垂肩。五官俊朗，神態安詳寧靜。肩寬腰細，採自在坐姿，左手支撐於身後，右手拇指與食指相捻。左肩垂掛帔帛，袒上身，下著貼體長裙，華麗之腰飾及懸垂於座下之裙襬刻劃精緻。該像結合了精湛的鑄造技術，造型具有時代特色。
