位於旦布拉石窟（Dambulla Caves）第2窟窟頂。以紅色為底，黃色為主色，描繪悉達多太子出家前的生活情景。構圖分十餘層，橫卷式，重要場景下方附有題記說明。
此圖由上而下第一層描繪太子降誕，天人以花供養及人民歡欣鼓舞的情節。第二、三層為太子學習弓箭技藝。第四層則為太子與各國王子比武娶親的場面。
畫中太子頭戴寶冠，長髮披肩，著短褂和長裙，身邊有隨從護衛擎傘蓋。畫面人物眾多，排列細密，但表情、姿態各異。建築與服飾描繪精細。情節以連環畫形式展現，有條不紊，顯示畫師技巧熟練。
