彌勒菩薩頭像
斯里蘭卡
彌勒信仰早於二世紀開始即在錫蘭（今斯里蘭卡）發展，並於五世紀達到巔峰。迄今，斯里蘭卡境內仍遺留著不少菩薩像，其中以彌勒菩薩的雕刻最多。
此頭像梳圓筒形髮髻冠，類似印度教大神濕婆的頭飾。臉形狹長橢圓，兩頰飽滿，髮際線較低。雙目深邃，鼻梁高挺，下唇豐厚，嘴角含笑，形貌顯示出南印度阿瑪拉瓦提雕像的特徵。
