此種拱形佛龕常見於斯里蘭卡，但細緻精品並不多見，此為傑出作品之一。佛身鍍金，跣足立於雙台座上。頂戴象徵智慧之火焰紋飾，是斯里蘭卡典型的佛像造型。肩寬腰細，著袒右袈裟，衣褶細密作水波紋，上半身、下半身和手臂的紋路方向各不相同。右手施無畏印，掌心刻似花朵的圖案；左手垂於身側。
佛龕龕楣、龕柱及台座均刻滿花紋圖案。龕楣呈拱形，頂端為獅面像，嘴中湧出蓮花等吉祥圖案，與龕楣兩端張口之摩竭魚連接成優美之弧形。摩竭魚頭長角，以前肢站立，尾部卷曲化為繁複的花紋。摩竭魚與獅面為印度傳統的瑞獸圖像，常被用於繪畫及建築中，以表守護之力量。此像冶金技巧高超，利用銀與金的延展性，將繁複的花紋圖案刻劃得精細入微。
