獅吼觀音菩薩像
印度北方邦馬赫巴出土
印度北方邦馬赫巴（Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh）出土，屬波羅王朝（Pala，約8〜12世紀）密教造像。獅吼觀音為觀音菩薩化身之一，具威猛之力，能消除病苦，使眾生脫離苦海。
菩薩白色身相，頭戴髮髻冠，五官刻劃精緻，額眉間淺刻第三眼。袒身無裝飾，斜掛聖線。右手持念珠搭於右膝上，左手支於身後，現輪王坐姿，腰身扭動富於動感。左後方有長莖蓮花和寶劍，右後方有蛇繞三叉戟。座下白獅伏臥於束腰蓮座上，佩聯珠項圈，頭後仰，張口怒吼。蓮座上兩端各有一身形極小的供養人，一人蹲跪合掌，另一人交腳雙手合十。
