Ajanta Cave 17: Dwarves
阿旃陀石窟第17窟藥叉像
印度馬哈拉施特拉邦奧蘭加巴德
位於阿旃陀石窟（Ajanta Caves）第17窟過廳右側立柱。圖中左側藥叉拉奏細柱狀的弦樂，似張口高歌，右側藥叉擊打腰鼓。二護法神於此裝飾畫中被描繪成滑稽可愛的造型，眼大唇厚，體型矮胖，腹部鼓脹，手腳粗壯。畫面色彩雖有剝落，均勻流暢的輪廓線條仍清晰可見。
這種藥叉的侏儒造型，在印度早期佛塔建築上非常普遍，經常被雕刻成與植物攀附在一起的形式，不很醒目，直到後期的石窟中方演變出多樣化的造型。手持樂器的藥叉，僅見於阿旃陀石窟壁畫和第4窟的石柱裝飾。
