位於奧蘭加巴德石窟(Aurangabad Caves)第7窟正門右側。圖中央為主尊觀音菩薩,兩側對稱排列八幅救濟圖,上為佛說法像和飛天。
 菩薩跣足立於仰覆蓮台上,體型圓渾,寬肩細腰。帶頭光,頂戴化佛寶冠,綰高髻,髮辮垂於雙肩。眉間有白毫,面貌俊朗。裸上身,裹貼體長裙,腰間繫帶。右手上舉作施無畏印,左手垂握長莖蓮花。
 菩薩兩側之救濟場面,從上至下,右側為解除火難、鐐銬難、賊難、水難,左側為解除獅難、蛇難、象難、羅剎女難。每幅構圖一致,內側為觀音菩薩化身,雙腳屈曲,狀若從天而降,前來救難;中間一對男女合掌跪地;外側為各種災害之形象,刻劃生動傳神。此作品反映出當時觀音信仰的流行,亦體現了往返此地之商旅們祈求路途平安的需求。
 六世紀初,印度藝術家出現了改變風格的跡象,作品逐漸脫離理想、完美、和諧及表現寧靜的古典主義,尤其至六世紀中葉,矯飾主義風格成為藝術風尚。這種藝術仍沿襲古典主義藝術家高超、純熟的製作技巧,但卻配以比古典主義藝術更浪漫、感人的內容。此觀音像在形態上是靜止的,然其兩側之八難圖,卻是一種充滿戲劇動作的穿插,即為矯飾主義藝術的特徵。
