印度安得拉邦（Andhra Pradesh）阿瑪拉瓦提遺址（Amaravati）出土。原為大塔圍欄上的浮雕裝飾，刻劃佛傳故事中，提婆達多欲藉醉象殺害佛陀，結果醉象卻被佛陀調伏之情節。
作品採用一圖二景的構圖方式，畫面左下刻劃瘋狂的醉象衝向人群，一人左腳被象鼻卷起，路人驚恐奔逃；右下是被馴服的醉象俯首跪伏在佛陀面前，背景為歡欣的人群與合掌立於佛陀身後的弟子。前者劇烈的動態與後者安詳的局面，構成了鮮明的對比，更增添戲劇性效果。
整體畫面分遠、中、近景。遠景為上方陽台觀看街景的人們，中景描繪街道上驚恐的人群，近景則是占滿空間、軀體龐大的醉象，層次感相當分明。此時期浮雕已向風格化演變，人體更加修長，動態更加活躍，裝飾華麗。
