此柬埔寨造像刻劃七頭龍王以身護衛初證悟的佛陀。龍王頭部相連形成蓮瓣形的巨大頭光，上有法輪，鱗片紋路清晰可辨。佛戴冠，斂目凝神，雙眉連成「一」字，鼻翼寬大。身著輕薄如透明的袒右袈裟，佩戴華麗的項圈、臂釧和腕釧；下身圍腰布，腰際可見厚布邊。雙手結印，右手掌心托一物，半跏趺坐於盤曲成三層的龍身上。
此像創作於吳哥（約9～15世紀）的鼎盛時期，形象描繪有如皇室人物，樸素的袈裟裝飾著君王裝扮的華美珠寶。龍王於高棉（今柬埔寨）神話中，始終具有重要性，其聳立的動作常被聯想為瑜珈技巧，用於心靈的啟發，提升能量。
