韓國慶尚北道慶州市東川洞栢栗寺出土
韓國慶尚北道慶州市東川洞栢栗寺出土。此像與佛國寺金銅毗盧遮那佛坐像、佛國寺金銅阿彌陀佛坐像，並稱統一新羅時期（668～935）三大金銅佛像，為少見的大型金銅佛像。據《三國遺事》記載，統一新羅景德王十四年（755）芬皇寺曾鑄造重達153.35公噸的藥師佛像，可知當時鑄造大型金銅佛像的風氣。一九六二年指定為韓國國寶第28號。
此像螺髮緊密，臉部豐潤，彎月柳眉直達鼻根，雙耳垂肩，臉帶微笑。內著僧祇支，上結帶，袈裟衣紋呈流線形下垂。雙手分別鑄造，現已遺失，從左手的位置可推測原持藥壺。表面多處留有彩色或鎏金痕跡，頭部後面和身體計有四個小孔。身體各部分之比例、塑造技巧及鑄造技術等，皆表現出高超的水平。
