阿富汗帕爾旺省豐都基斯坦佛寺遺址出土
阿富汗帕爾旺省豐都基斯坦（Fondukistan, Parwan）佛寺遺址出土。佛頭上冠式衍生自波斯皇室頭冠的設計。袈裟外罩綴飾華麗的珠寶及瓔珞披肩，下緣呈「W」形，原施有彩繪，現皆已褪盡。佛像手指塑造柔和纖細，左手上舉置於胸前，右手臂已殘斷，僅存垂至腰間的手掌。
不同於一般犍陀羅質樸的希臘風格，此佛像儼然王公貴族裝扮，為佛陀與轉輪聖王在形象上的結合，推測當時已有君主即佛的思想。如此的裝飾佛，僅見於巴米揚，服飾華麗，更趨世俗化，應與未來世下生的彌勒佛信仰密切相關，產生了佛陀信仰與轉輪王合一的傾向，因而給佛陀加上了王者的裝飾。
