釋迦牟尼佛立於畫面中央，身軀騰空，帶圓形頭光，披通肩袈裟，右手揚起作無畏印，雙肩燃燒著火焰，雙足下流動著水波。佛腳下兩側有二比丘弟子胡跪抬頭仰望佛陀，合十禮拜。佛左右二人脇侍，左側留唇髭，頭戴敷巾冠飾，佩耳璫、項飾；右側蓄鬚髯，頭髮盤成高髻，身上無裝飾物，皆袒上身，雙手合十，面容恭敬虔誠。二脇侍身後各有一人將手指置於嘴中吹口哨表示讚歎。右側二人後方另有一人翹首瞻仰佛陀的神通。
此浮雕生動地刻劃出釋迦牟尼佛在舍衛城顯現神變的故事場景。厚重的衣紋與寫實的人物表情，顯示出巴基斯坦白夏瓦（Peshawar）地區古犍陀羅造像特徵。
