此像由來不確定，在韓國發現的大型鎏金銅像中，此像頭部較大、肩寬。一九六三年指定為韓國寶物第328號。
該像肉髻較大，臉部豐腴，細眉長耳，頸部刻三道紋，袈裟覆蓋至雙膝，於左肩前打結，垂至手臂上形成窄而垂直形的摺疊，從腹部形成「U」形衣褶，較為厚重，曲褶的衣紋頗為和諧，右手拇指和中指相捻，左手拿藥鉢。
從造像風格與製作技術，可推定該像為八世紀中葉製作，反映當時藥師信仰的盛行。
