尼泊爾加德滿都谷地出土
尼泊爾加德滿都（Kathmandu）谷地出土。作品刻劃目支鄰陀龍王於暴風雨中，以身軀護衛進入禪定的佛陀。佛身著通肩袈裟，薄衣貼體，衣裾摺疊垂於左肩，衣袖寬大淺刻波紋。雙手作禪定印，結跏趺坐。此像的華蓋以五頭龍王頭頸相連形成，而三世紀早期的印度阿瑪拉瓦提同類雕像，則多以七頭龍王呈現。
龍王護佛題材的造像於尼泊爾並不常見，且樣式與其他地區亦不相同。一般多見以龍首作華蓋形式，懸於佛陀頭部上方；但尼泊爾的傳統風格，除以龍身表現基座、龍首作華蓋，更以成對交錯的身軀完全環繞佛陀。
