此像頭光大而圓，戴敷巾冠飾，眉間有白毫，為典型的犍陀羅菩薩像。犍陀羅的敷巾冠飾係由布帛及珠寶等裝飾而成，多見於古印度王宮貴族裝扮。菩薩的冠飾雖已部分損毀，但仍不失精緻豪華。耳璫綴有獅面，刻工細膩。上身袒，展現出健壯雄厚的肌肉感，大衣繞掛在左肩上，衣紋起伏有致，風格已受希臘、羅馬的傳統造像藝術影響。左手叉腰，右手雖殘損，依照一般犍陀羅菩薩手勢判斷，當為上舉作無畏印。該像無任何持物，係釋迦牟尼佛未成佛前的太子裝束。
