巴基斯坦開伯爾巴圖克瓦省斯瓦特（Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa）出土。犍陀羅出土許多佛傳浮雕，都以一故事一場景呈現。本作品描述釋尊在拘尸那揭羅的娑羅樹下入滅，七日後大迦葉趕回時，繞棺七匝，以頭相接佛雙足禮拜後，荼毗之火自行燃起。一般雕刻內容會刻出金棺，四周有天人和弟子環繞，場景悲傷；或者僅雕出持火人點燃荼毗之火，而不刻棺柩。
此作品特別之處是荼毗之火熾盛，金棺置放於方形台上，台前正面以大朵圓形蓮花作為裝飾，棺上也以一朵朵像玫瑰花的圓形浮雕圖案嚴飾之。金棺尾端可見佛陀腳伸出棺柩，大迦葉以右手碰觸額頭，身軀長跪作禮拜狀。畫面兩端各有一人手持繫水罐的長棍。從圖中可窺見當時犍陀羅火葬的情景。
