虛空藏菩薩像

此像為求聞持法之主尊，將虛空藏菩薩彩繪於桂木造圓板上，表現菩薩處於月輪中。板子上方加設環形吊扣，便於懸掛。繪製於十三世紀。現為日本重要文化財。
菩薩右手作與願印，左手執長莖蓮花，蓮花上置火焰寶珠，結跏趺坐於蓮座上。戴寶冠，佩胸飾，帔帛繞臂飄逸身側，以碎金描繪衣紋及白毫放出的無數光芒。蓮座下有伸長的蓮莖，其下圖形有如土坡。
求聞持法是增進記憶力的修行法，日本自奈良時代（710～794）即已實行，於山中西面安置虛空藏菩薩，百日或五十日持續禮拜和念誦，則明星出現。圖中之山野和土坡，應是象徵虛空藏菩薩現身於山中修求聞持法的行者前。
