犍陀羅浮雕。佛陀結跏趺坐於蓮花座上，頂上大樹枝葉盤結形如華蓋，雙臂均已斷損，但從僅存的右手推測原作轉法輪印。周圍環繞眾多菩薩、天人和弟子等，均有蓮花台座，或坐或立，分層排列。佛兩側站立二脇侍菩薩。蓮座下露出半身的難陀龍王和跋難陀龍王，從池中奉獻千葉寶蓮給佛陀，神情虔敬驚歎。
在《法華經》、《如來藏經》、《解深密經》等經典中皆記述了世尊進入禪定三昧發出大光明，照亮佛國世界，化現出許多蓮花與千佛，展現種種的祥瑞。有學者認為此浮雕刻劃的是佛陀於舍衛城說法的神變故事，亦有認為是阿彌陀淨土圖。
